   Here’s an article that touches on how he made the mashup.

    

   It turns out he used Pro Tools to tweak pitch and tempo to match the six songs, so maybe it’s not quite fair to say “completely interchangeable” in key and tempo … just in most other respects ….

   Not surprised – amused, though, really.  But, it IS “pop” music – and the same complaint is made about Vivaldi’s music, that it’s the same concerto 500 times, just with different instrumentation, etc., etc., etc.  Think about it:  since “pop” music panders to popular opinion and tastes, and those are not developed, is it any wonder that they all sound the same?  This is what differentiates “classic” (not classical) from the rest – will it stand the test of time and will it stand apart from the run of the mill?
