“Everything you have to do in business, or anything of importance, you learn in a choir. Anybody that wants to be great should sing in a choir.”
It is one thing for those of us in the choral profession to advocate passionately for the art. Naturally, a certain degree of earnestness and zeal are expected.
However, the quote above did not come from a choral director, but rather from a staggeringly successful entrepreneur named Morten H. Meyerson. If the name rings familiar for some ACDA members, it is because the 2013 National Conference was held in the Morten H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas.
