A few days ago, ACDA announced the rosters for the four Honor Choirs that will sing during the 2013 National Conference in Dallas.
Now that the shouting has subsided, more than 1,000 singers who were selected must turn their attention to the task of learning a sizeable body of music. For many of these choristers, it will be the most challenging repertoire they have ever sung, and the most demanding rehearsal environment in which they have worked.
If the members are well-prepared, the honor choir can be the artistic pinnacle of their early choral experience. Such was the case in 2009 National conference, as demonstrated by this performance by the High School Honor Choir.
