ACDA Member Lost to West Nile

Sometimes, news of dreaded conditions or situations seem far-removed from our individual spheres.  We watch news of storms, of tragic events, or of epidemics and silently comfort ourselves thinking that it happens to “other” people.
 
Not so today.
 
The West Nile virus has come close to home with the passing of ACDA leader Richard Wesp on Tuesday, September 18.  You can view the story from Cincinnati’s WLWT-TV.

  2. We have also learned of tenor Peter Marvit, who was shot to death in an apparent robbery outside his home, less than thirty minutes after his weekly rehearsal with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society.  (See the link in ChoralNews here.)
