It’s that crazy-busy time of year in our profession.
Think about the biggest stumbling block you’ve faced during this season. Was it an irascible and inflexible colleague in the athletic department? Maybe you’re struggling with a couple of diva students. Perhaps you have some high-maintenance parents rattling your cage.
Now put yourself in the position of choral conductor Erica Pangburn and her band colleague, Shanna Ledbetter. They comprise the junior-high school music faculty in Henryville, Indiana. While security cameras watched silently, an EF4 turned their school to rubble in a matter of seconds.
Russ Bullis (Vice President, Regional Marketing Manager for J.W. Pepper & Son, Inc.) is spearheading an effort to re-equip this music program. He is sharing the following list of needs in the hope that the music education community can help rebuild this program.
