Best voice of the generation

I'm not sure if Adele is the best voice of this generation, but I really like the way she sings!

  2. I just found an article in The Sun about Adele.  “Adele as you’ve never seen her before”
     
    I now know why you are admiring of her. She has a that certain flair.
     
    Could you suggest a pop song that could be arranged for adult SATB choir, that would hopefully appeal to college students as well.

    I’m not sure why you take exception to blogs like this:
    • it is about singing
    • she is very popular at the moment
    • there is a core musicality to her singing, in my opinion
    • sometimes we all need to be reminded of what/who is capturing the fascination of our students
    Millions of people – including our future choir students – are listening to this young woman and emulating her tone and style.  There are worse models!

  4. .”..the way she sings” would make an interesting choir of 60 or so. What would be a good selection for that group?
    Sometimes I’m baffled by topics such as this! I am anxious to see responses from some major university choral directors.

  5. I’m fairly conscious, and have heard of her, but haven’t heard her sing.  (Sorry, Anderson Cooper.)  However, I agree that she has a pleasing pop voice, and has the Texas-sized diva hair and nails down pat.
