    The late Sid Caesar was a master of exactly this sort of thing – except when he did it, you swore he was actually speaking SOME form of the language.  Believe me, the profound embarrassment of the fellow running the meeting can only be matched by the inner fury of the people being treated this way.  And I love that it’s not the Americans this time; it’s the Brits.  Neither country (and they can be joined by France in this) are good about foreign-language training of their children – I mean, doesn’t EVERYbody speak English/American/French?
