I spotted this on the ACDA website last week:
The site acda.org is the Association’s primary online resource for ACDA information and news. For the period June 15 to September 15, 2011, the site's publications increased by 170% while front page traffic grew by 591% compared to the same three-month period of 2010.
Great to hear, isn't it?
If you have been around for a few years, you know that we didn't always have the "acda.org" domain name. Instead of belonging to the American Choral Director's Association, it belonged to a variety of organizations:
In June 1997 ACDA.ORG stood for the Alliance for Cat and Dog Adoption.
From February 1998 until a few years ago, ACDA.ORG belonged to the Antiques & Collectibles Dealers Association. They didn't use the domain for long, however, and they began forwarding ACDA.ORG to http://www.antiqueandcollectible.com/.
During the summer of 2008 ACDA decided to break away from "acdaonline.org" and purchase the "acda.org" from the people that owned it. It was a great move for our organization, don't you think?
