BTW, I’d like clarify that my previous comment was only regarding a few of the technical details of the video, and intended as feedback for improvement. As a long-time ACDA member (one way of saying I’m getting old), I really appreciate the work put into this project and the images and biographical information about the many significant personalities of our profession. I’m hopeful that our younger colleagues will view this and get to know a little more about who “came before” them. I think they’ll be publishing a “version 2.0” of the Wall of Honor video at some point, and I look forward to viewing it again.
I watched this video yesterday, but was a bit puzzled by the audio. There’s a nice choral performance for almost the first 4 minutes of the 16-minute video, then some applause (it sounds like a recording from an ACDA convention performance), then you can hear some footsteps (someone walking offstage), and then the remaining 12 minutes are completely silent. Is there some significance to having only part of the video accompanied by music, or did someone just forget to supply more songs for the rest of the production? It’s pretty odd. Also, they forgot to remove the “.wmv” from the title of the video during the upload process to YouTube, something that’s easily corrected after the fact by simply editing the title.
