A Festival for Boys and Men’s Choirs

April 6, 2011 by Tim Sharp Leave a Comment

The American Choral Directors Association is pleased to contribute to the sponsorship of the International Boys and Men’s Choral Festival this coming July 25-August 1, 2011. This unique event offers exceptional singing opportunities for choirs as well as individual singers, and includes the added bonus of the promotion of global understanding as well as encouragement and support for male singing at all ages.

Julian Ackerley continues to help lead ACDA's efforts at building boys and men's choirs throughout the United States through his leadership in this R&S area, as evidenced by their recent Roundtable event at the 2011 ACDA Chicago National Conference.

For a full description and the helpful resource created at this ACDA Boys and Men's Choir Roundtable, see

The International Boys and Men's Choral Festival will be held in Arizona, and will feature conductors David Hill of the BBC Singers, and Julian Ackerley, ACDA National Boychoir Repertoire and Standards Chair.

There is still time to register for both choirs and individual singers.  Sign up now by emailing your name and contact phone number to .  Detailed festival information can be found on the website www.internationalchoralfestival.com.
