Eric Talks TED

March 4, 2011 by philip copeland Leave a Comment

Eric Whitacre talks about his TED experience:
It’s difficult for me to describe, but I think my TED talk on Tuesday may have been one of the most profound experiences I’ve ever had. The audience – nearly 2,000 thinkers, inventors, artists, entrepreneurs and leaders – create this strange, tangible energy, an intoxicating blend of intellect, emotional intelligence, and compassion. Sharing the Virtual Choir with them was thrilling not just because they responded so enthusiastically to it, but because they seemed to immediately absorb it. I’ve never before felt anything like that while speaking publicly, this sense that my simple idea had been captured and was expanding and blossoming within the crowd. It felt viral, and thrilling.
