The American Choral Directors Association is pleased to announce a collaboration with J.W. Pepper that makes the choral literature from all thirteen of the choral reading sessions presented at the 2011 ACDA National Conference in Chicago available to all choral directors. This collaboration has created a resource that allows everyone to see and hear ACDA’s reading sessions online, free.
J.W. Pepper has created this free service for viewing and listening to all the music from the ACDA Repertoire & Standards choral reading sessions. The web address to view the ACDA Online Viewer at this moment is jwpepper.com/acda , and will go "live" later this week. To use the site now, you will need to register (free) at www.jwpepper.com By visiting this site, you will be able to listen to the music, and see the music. Most pieces have full length recordings and scores. Furthermore, you can bookmark favorite pieces, make notes about the music, and then refer to those notes any time you visit the ACDA music preview tool. The ACDA Online viewer will let you enjoy the benefits of the work of the Repertoire & Standards Committees long after the Conference has ended.
To view the Online Viewer now, you can use your Pepper login. If you don't currently have a Pepper login, you can register for free using the login link on jwpepper.com. The web address for the new choral review online will eventually be a different address. The permanent address will be announced when the site rolls out live.
And, in the near future, the choral reviews from Choral Journal will also be on this site, accompanied by the same ability to see and hear the music. This is a wonderful development that allows ACDA to amplify the good work and review activity accomplished by those that work to maintain a high level of repertoire and standards for choral performance through ACDA.
