Faure’s Madrigal is a wonderfully expressive piece of music. The Norman Luboff Choir performed it on tour in 1971, with the warm/mellow voice quality that is more amenable to French choral music (according to Norman, with whom I agree). I sang in the NLC on that tour. I wish Norman was still available to write comments, etc., and share his vast knowledge and wisdom on ChoralNet, especially about the way his own arrangements and compositions need to be performed. He was the Frank Sinatra of vocal-choral jazz; so expressive.
