The Hokey Pokey Heals

This one doesn’t need much commentary:

Pay attention to some of the comments at the end, including this one:

“Psalm 103 says ‘Forget not his benefits.’ Alzheimers is not scriptural.”

Oh, please! Donald, I’m afraid that I took your assessment as dengerously close to "It doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you believe something." What exactly does the crowd accept – that the Hokey Pokey is releigious in some way? That God chooses at that moment through that song to fix the first man’s knees? I’ve been a church musician for over 40 years and I am appalled.
I second Carl’s comment – this is why, from someone in a casual conversation to just about any movie or television script with a religious person in it, believers are seen as either psychotic or charlatans.

So I’ll see your Holy Ghost Hokey Pokey, and I’ll raise you one Chream: Rollin’ & Tumblin (live at the Albert Hall in 2005) … the power of music … the power of the musical expression … thousands more dancers, just off camera.

Isn’t it wonderful to see (young) people actually believing in something other than wealth, cars, technology, sex, booze? I think it is! Perception IS everything, and so is Belief. What you believe in is what you become. These people become healed because they believe. Wonderful, wonderful – Bravo to them, and bravo to those who make it possible. It’s because Christianity is so universal, because it has the power to act in so many ways, that when I see all this I can only say “Halleluia” – Chritianity is NOT bunk!!! I feel the same way when I hear Mozart’s Requiem, just in case you’re wondering!

Believe, my friends, and you can move mountains…

Seriously, though, this is what in the Christian youth world is called an "energizer." It’s supposed to get people ready to worship by making them take part in cheesy line dances.

Romans 2:24 – As it is written: "God’s name is blasphemed among the (Non-Christians) because of you." It is because these idiots do stuff like this, that people believe that Christianity is bunk.
