I am in Saskatoon, Canada and attending Podium 2010.
Podium is Canada’s equivalent to the national ACDA conference but a far more intimate event. Everyone knows each other here – we all fit into a banquet hall last night and shared a meal and awards ceremony together. Perhaps I will get a list of the awards and award winners and share with you later.
There was a three-choir concert yesterday afternoon by these choirs:
- University of Saskatchewan Greystone Singers (Gerald Langner)
- University of Manitoba Singers (Elroy Friesen)
- University of Alberta Madrigal Singers (Leonard Ratzlaff)
It was a great concert, and I heard a new piece – Stephen Chatman’s “Remember” . . . a beautiful work that I found on YouTube this morning . . . . enjoy:
