The American Choral Directors Association has released its new logo, which offers the name of the association through colors that connect with its past, a fresh font that reflects the forward looking posture of the 21st century association, and an iconic image that showcases the work of the membership.
In a statement released by Tim Sharp, Executive Director of ACDA, “Members of the American Choral Directors Association work daily to foster and promote quality choral music throughout the United States and the world. Our association is made up of inspired and dedicated choral directors, living and working as local artists-in-residence in communities, schools, faith communities, cities, towns, and counties throughout the country. In our effort to convey this image, we sought to create a logo that artistically reflected this identity.”
Branding ACDA
Branding means so much these days, whether you know it or not. A brand is “a person’s gut feeling about a product, service, or organization.” (look here for a great presentation on the topic, viewed over 500,000 times).
Tim Sharp is a savvy guy. (i’ve had to stop using the word “sharp” to define him, it just doesn’t seem right)
Tim is up-to-date on the 21st century needs of an organization.
This new logo was a great idea, and it plays into who we will be.
Here’s some official lingo from ACDA regarding the change.
