Looking for Palm Sunday Processional music – youth oriented, upbeat?
I’m totally open to suggestion – any style, instrumentation, karaoke, etc. The youth will be leading service that day and it would be nice to have processional music that they could really “get into”. Thanks in advance for your help!
Searching choralnet
What is the best way to search choralnet when you have a broad enquiry? I’m looking for some unusual ideas in warm ups but when I entered “warm ups” into the search I got 581 responses. Clicking on “compilations” helped somewhat but it’s heavy going. Are there any short cuts to finding posts which […]
Guinand tour
Does anyone know if Maria Guinand is presenting the Golijev San Marco Passion in the US anywhere other than Disney Hall in LA in late April? I’d love to know if I can see a performance somewhere closer to home. Many thanks!
repertory with udu drum – Nigerian?
After all the posts about doing your own work, I hesitate to post this! ‘ve been given an udu, a Nigerian drum, and I’m looking for published (or not) SATB repertory with which I can use the drum. I’ve only found a few Christmas carols. Are there some Nigerian pieces out there I’m missing? And am I being […]

Need advice on diction, etc, many thanks! =)
Question 1: I’m preparing a set piece called “The Thrush” for our coming Music Festival and I need some advice on the blending of some words. I wonder which is better, ” stilla ( blending still and a)” or “still a (separating the two words)” in the enclosed extract of the piece at Bar 9. […]
your core repertoire
Does your choir have a core repertoire: pieces that you keep returning to and programming again and again, and that you can pick up and polish on short notice? How large is it (how many pieces)? How do you determine what goes on the core “list”? And how do you keep the music current with your […]
