Forums are a separate system/program within the site. This is a UI flaw that will be dealt with eventually. However, currently the user does need to go to the forums area to post. I can put a small/simple bandaid for now on the new posts page. However, it won’t be the permanent fix.

In the meantime, if they submit a post that needs to be moved to a forum, edit the post, then change the post type to “Topic” this will put it within a forum. Apply the change, when the edit page reloads you will then have the option on the right hand side to assign it to a specific forum.
