From September 29 to December 4, 2024, in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, join us for an incredible lineup of international, Canadian, and Newfoundland & Labrador singing groups/choirs on this historic and breathtaking territory, in the most easterly part of North America.
HarborVOICES! Think of the International Festival of Collective Singing Traditions as an ocean wave of song, storytelling, singing, and sharing over the course of six days.
HarbourVOICES! presents exciting performing events in addition to innovative seminars, lectures, musical and cultural exchanges, group gatherings and performances, collaborative choirs, and much more.
The HarbourVOICES! festival aims to discover, explore, and share the wide range of musical customs and cultures that are present around the world.
In an effort to celebrate diversity and inclusivity, the HarbourVOICES! festival aims to explore, share, and celebrate the wide range of musical traditions and cultures that exist around the globe. We will also highlight the musical traditions and singing customs of our lovely home, happy wheels Newfoundland and Labrador.
We chose the name HarbourVOICES! for our festival because it symbolizes “harbours” as places where people, ships, and boats can find safety, shelter, or sanctuary in addition to being places of physical and spiritual regeneration.
