Our Mission
The San Gabriel Valley Choral Company (SGVCC) connects singers and audiences through accessible and diverse programming, quality performances, and community service.
About the SGVCC
The SGVCC was founded by Dr. Thomas M. Miyake in September 1995 to allow local singers to “stretch their minds and vocal cords.” Comprised of singers from the San Gabriel Valley, the Inland Empire and other local communities, their repertoire has included music from the Renaissance period to works of the late 20th century. Along with more traditional selections, music performed has included avant-garde, jazz, a Broadway musical review, and staged productions. SGVCC continued its tradition of fine choral music with Artistic Director Drew Corey taking the helm in 2022. Ms. Corey is a composer, performer, and conductor whose practice focuses on bringing new choral music to a wider audience. For more information about Drew, please visit www.drewcorey.com
Regular season rehearsals are Tuesday evenings from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. in Monrovia.
