Under the direction of Randy Davis, the Mohawk Valley Choral Society, along with a forty-five-piece orchestra, will welcome the Christmas season by singing The Many Moods of Christmas, a compilation of Christmas carols, songs and hymns arranged by Robert Shaw and Robert Russell Bennett.
The concert will take place at the Faro De Luz Seventh Day Adventist Church (formerly the First Presbyterian Church) at 1605 Genesee St, in Utica, NY, at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7.
Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 on the day of the concert and are available at the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts in Little Falls, Weisser’s Jewelers in Herkimer, and at the New Hartford Presbyterian Church.

Composed by Robert and Robert Russell Bennett with traditional English carols such as Away in a Manger, Hark the Herald Angels Sing and The First Nowell, the four musical suites of The Many Moods of Christmas include carols from various European countries.
Robert Shaw is famous for his work with Arturo Toscanini, for the many recordings of the Robert Shaw Chorale, and for his conducting the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Cleveland Orchestra.
Robert Shaw and Russell Bennett is known for his orchestrations of Broadway and Hollywood musicals by Jerome Kern and Richard Rogers and most famously for his work on the TV series Victory at Sea.
Joining the Chorus will be Ethan Lin and Ethan Lavallee who will each perform solos on the Faro De Luz church organ.
The Choral Society invites everyone to join the celebration of the Christmas season with them.
