Auditions for Diablo Choral Artists

Diablo Choral Artists (DCA), dcachorus.org. is seeking experienced choral singers in all voice parts. We rehearse Monday nights in Walnut Creek, CA. Auditions are scheduled for Monday, Aug 28, beginning at 7pm, at Mount Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church, 55 Eckley Lane, Walnut Creek, with rehearsals beginning Sept. 11. Singers should prepare no more than 2 solo. pieces for voice and piano (one in English, and one in a foreign language), and be prepared to vocalize and sight read no more than 2 brief excerpts with and without piano accompaniment.

DCA has a new Artistic Director and Conductor, Luis González. He is a skilled conductor, passionate music educator, and accomplished baritone soloist, whose diverse and versatile performances have taken him across the United States and abroad, collaborating with esteemed institutions like The New York Philharmonic, Sarasota Choral Artists and the Sarasota Orchestra, Crested Butte Music Festival, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Opera Tampa, St. Petersburg Opera, and many more.
Under Mr. González’s direction, DCA will be preparing a holiday program that includes Holst and Pinkham, and ranges from. classics to more modern pieces. Please join us for this exciting new chapter in the 30-year history of DCA!
