The San Francisco Choral Society returns to Davies Symphony Hall for its second annual Summer Festival Chorus featuring two compelling U.S. premieres by Ukrainian composer Alexander Shchetynsky, Requiem and Lacrimosa, alongside Mozart’s iconic Requiem. The Summer Festival Chorus program brings experienced singers from across the country and beyond to join the Resident Chorus for one week each summer in San Francisco for rehearsals and a concert. The performance is dedicated to the memory of Ukrainian conductor Yuri Kerpatenko, who was fatally shot after refusing to cooperate with Russian occupiers in September 2022. Artistic Director Robert Geary will lead the combined forces of the SF Choral Society and California Chamber Symphony as well as a variety of guest artists.
$45 to $75.
