The Oriana Consort seeks tenors and basses to join our 24-voice SATB chorale, initially for an a cappella program to be presented March 2 and 4, but ideally for subsequent programs as well. Sunday evening rehearsals in Cambridge begin January 7 for the March program of recent works by Julian Wachner, Ola Gjeilo, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Abbie Betinis, Eric Whitacre, and Charlotte Bray, and of Renaissance works by Wilbye, Byrd, Vautor, Palestrina, Morley, and de Sermisy. We seek good-to-excellent readers with clear, center-of-the-pitch voices that work well with the group. Hear our audio clips at www.orianaconsort.org. To schedule a half-hour audition in Cambridge in early January, please email Walter Chapin at , summarizing your choral & solo experience. You’ll join a quartet of Oriana members to read excerpts from our repertory & sing a brief but difficult choral part that you’ll prepare 2 days in advance. Bring a solo of your choice.
