Responsibilities include Thursday night rehearsals and Sunday morning services commencing the Thursday after Labor Day (September) through the entire month of July.
1. Be present and on time at all rehearsals as called by the Director of Music, Organist and/or designated person in charge.
a. Thursday evenings: First Thursday after Labor Day in September through the last Thursday in June. Rehearsals are held from
7:30 pm – 9:00 pm.
b. Sunday morning: First Sunday after Labor Day in September through the last Sunday in July. The call time is 8:30 am. Earlier call times with prior notice for special music presentations (Christmas, Holy Week/Easter & special music).
c. Any extra rehearsals deemed necessary by the Director of Music, or as requested by the Worship Leaders. This includes Choir retreat and the preparation of special programs.
2. Be present for all Sunday mornings services (9:30) and any extra services which the Chancel Choir participates including but not limited to Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve and Holy Week/Easter.
3. If unable to attend any of the above mentioned rehearsals or worship services as required, you may hire a substitute provided prior notice is given to and approved by the Director of Music.
4. You are responsible to provide music on a regular basis. These solos will usually be in the form of an Offertory solo. Choices are up to the individual, but must be cleared in advance with the Director of Music.
5. Pay is $30 per hour.
