The East Coast Schiller Institute Community Choruses are coming together on June 29th, 2017 for a wonderful concert of African-American Spirituals and western classical pieces on the occasion of the 100th birthday of Sylvia-Olden Lee. The concert will be at Carnegie Hall.
Volunteer singers are invited to join our chorus for the next 3 months of rehearsals and a couple of pre-concerts. No auditions are required. Cut-off to join the chorus is the week of April 17-21, so that singers will have sufficient time working with our Directors Diane Sare and John Sigerson to do an adequate representation of these wonderful pieces.
Branch choruses meet once weekly (you are welcome to participate in more than one chorus, if you desire more rehearsal time). You may join any of our branches:
Manhattan – Thursday evenings, Upper West Side
Flushing, Queens – Wednesday evenings
Brooklyn – Wednesday evenings
Northern NJ – Tuesday evenings
Boston – Saturday mornings
Northern Virginia – Saturday afternoons.
Please contact Margaret Greenspan for more information and to join. Hope to sing with you soon!
