Tenor and Bass Section Leaders for Episcopal Cathedral

Christ Church Cathedral, Mobile AL, is seeking a bass/baritone and a tenor section leader for the Cathedral Choir. Sight singing skills, willingness to work and lead a volunteer choir are expected in this position. Section leaders are expected to prepare music before rehearsal (music is handed out no less than one month in advance, and all major anthems have been planned for the entire year), sing with the volunteers in the Cathedral Choir, and join other section leaders to sing as part of the fully-professional Chamber Choir. Rehearsals include Wednesday Evening at 6:30-8:30 as well as Sunday morning rehearsal 9:15 and 10:00 service. Additional services throughout the year include Lessons and Carols, Christmas Eve, Holy Week services, Diocesan events, and 2-3 concerts. Position pays $40 per appearance, usually $80 per week.
