St. Louis Women’s HOPE Chorale Season 22 Auditions Young Artist Award

Audition Requirements for Young Artist Awards:
SLWHC awards paid positions to four singers who will function as section leaders in the Chorale. Candidates must be capable of performing solos and leading sectional rehearsals.
Candidates must be 35 or younger for the initial award. The requirements are as follows:

Sight-reading and vocalization.

Two solos from memory in contrasting styles. (“Returning” Young Artists only need to sing 1 solo)

One solo must be in a foreign language (French, German, Italian, or Latin) and the other must be in English

Songs must be arias, art songs, folk songs, spirituals or hymn arrangements.
Music must be received one week prior to the audition. An accompanist will be provided.
