Experienced singers needed for a performance of 11 choruses from Händel’s Messiah with Lawrence Kohl the Classical Philharmonic Orchestra at 3 pm on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore, California.
The concert will also include various arias and duets from Messiah.
Four rehearsals will be held on Sundays from 6 pm until 8 pm at St. Raymond Catholic Church in Dublin under the direction of Rob Lappa. Rehearsals dates are October 28, November 4, November 11 and November 18. Attendance at as many rehearsals possible is encouraged. A final one hour rehearsal with the orchestra will take place on November 25 at 12 Noon.
Singers should be familiar with Messiah and with the technical requirements of singing baroque music, especially being comfortable with the singing of melismas. More details will be given to those who respond.
