Seeking SATB staff singers

December 20, 2015 by Taylor Davis Leave a Comment

St. Andrew United Methodist Church of Plano, TX immediately seeks four staff singers, one in each section. Our ideal candidates would have:

  • good sight reading skills
  • the ability to blend
  • an appreciation for a variety of styles, all under the traditional worship umbrella
  • a desire to contribute as a soloist in worship, or for weddings and funerals (additional pay).

A weekly schedule includes a Wednesday night rehearsals, two Sunday morning services, and an occasional Saturday evening service. Each “call” pays, and additional rehearsals for seasonal activities – such as Holy Week, Easter, Christmas – pay extra.

Our volunteer choir is large, warm and friendly, and adept, but could use the anchor of a staff singer in all four sections. While these are paid positions, a desire to belong and produce with, and not for, is highly sought.

To set up a meeting and audition, please contact Taylor Davis, Director of Music and Worship, at .
