Primary Choir leader

St. John’s Church (Episcopal), Cold Spring Harbor, NY, seeks a maternity leave replacement for its Primary Choir/Children’s Chapel music leader, from September through November 26, 2017. The Primary Choir includes children from Kindergarten through third grade. Duties include leading rehearsals on Wednesdays from 4:30 until 5:15 (followed by a light snack); leading music at the Children’s Chapel service on Sundays at 10:00; selecting, preparing and presenting an age appropriate anthem monthly at the main Sunday service, also at 10:00. The leader should have a clear singing voice, the ability to lead songs using piano and/or guitar, and experience working with children of this age group in a church setting. Salary is $150 a week.
