Pinnacle Presbyterian Church seeks Bass Soloist / Section Leader

Pinnacle Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) in North Scottsdale AZ is auditioning candidates for its Bass Section Leader/Soloist position. Pinnacle Presbyterian Church has a long history of excellence in music. Basses, bass/baritones and baritones are encouraged to apply.

Section leaders sing for Wednesday night rehearsals (7:20pm-9:00pm) and a 10:00 Sunday Service, September 10 through the last week of June. The choir normally sings one anthem per Sunday of varying repertoire; each of the Section Leaders sing solos and/or quartet works once a month or as needed. In addition to Sunday morning worship, Section Leaders sing for Christmas Eve, the evenings of Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, as well as two Services Easter Morning, and other special services as requested.

Requirements:
• superb musicianship;
• significant choral experience at a high level;
• familiarity with sacred vocal solo repertoire in a diversity of styles;
• ability to vary vocal timbre depending on the style of music being sung;
• ability to work with and lead a section of volunteers of varied ability levels;
• ability to sing solos and in a consort setting at the highest artistic level;
• ability to be a team player.
