Opera Chorus Auditions

OPERA CHORUS AUDITIONS
Gulfshore Opera is looking to find regional singers for their opera chorus in the upcoming 2019 season. Gulfshore Opera serves the Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties to promote their mission of bringing this art form to different communities. We are currently looking for singers for our main production, La Traviata, which opens on March 30th. Chorus rehearsals will begin in January and singers will be needed on Thursday evenings and some Saturday mornings.
Qualifications include:
1) Must have basic music reading skills (choir experience, music degree, etc.)
2) Ability to learn music with minimal rehearsal
3) Prepare the “The Star-Spangled Banner” or a short selection of your choice that displays vocal range and flexibility.
Our first round of auditions are on September 29th, 2018 from 2-4pm in Naples, FL. Both volunteer and paid opportunities are available for chorus members/section leaders.
