The New York City Master Chorale, a 75-member classical chorus, is holding open auditions for singers with significant choral experience and strong sight-reading skills. Auditions for the 2016 – 2017 season will be held on Wednesday September 7 by appointment. Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings in Manhattan at the Turtle Bay Music School.
This season includes an October performance of Orff’s Carmina Burana, a December performance of Rutter Magnificat and Lauridsen Lux Aeterna, an April performance of Rachmaninof Vespers and a summer tour to Florence featuring American A Cappella music. In addition, the Chorale holds quarterly open mic nights and an annual cabaret featuring NYCMC singers.
