Calling all Michigan singers! The Schiller Institute Chorus is opening a new branch, this time in the Detroit area. Rehearsals will begin soon. All voice types welcome. No auditions required.
Our chorus will perform regular local concerts, as well as have the opportunity to join together with our other choruses is larger events. On June 29th the Schiller Institute Choruses participated in a concert at Carnegie Hall!
We will focus on the classical works of Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Handel, and also American patriotic songs, and African-American spirituals.
The Schiller Institute was founded by Helga Zepp-LaRouche, wife of economist and statesman Lyndon LaRouche, with a mission to ennoble mankind through beauty.
All music is sung at the Verdi tuning C=256Hz.
