All voice types are welcome to come join the Schiller Institute Community Chorus. Our chorus is composed of several branch choruses throughout New York City and then join together for larger events. All rehearsals and concerts are done at the Verdi tuning A=432Hz.
We are presently preparing for a series of concerts in December, to be held in venues throughout New York City. Our chorus will present Section 1 of Handel’s Messiah (the “Christmas Section”), four African-American spirituals including “Sister Mary had but One Child”, and the Bach Cantata “Wachet Auf.” The first concert will be on December 17th.
This concert series follows on the heel of a fantastic series of concerts we did last month, on the weekend of 9-11, in honor of the victims (past, present, and future) of 9-11. More than 3,000 people attended these concerts, in a fitting tribute to the 3,000 people who perished on 9-11. For more: http://www.sinycchorus.com/news
