Do you love to sing? The Lehigh University Choral Union is seeking new community members for its upcoming Spring concert, Every Time I Feel The Spirit, which includes a collaboration with the well-known special needs choir, Joyful Noise. Colloquia with Lehigh University’s Department of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences on music and learning will support this extraordinary tribute to the spirit of music-making. The repertoire includes spirituals, Shaker songs, works by Rachmaninoff and Sametz, and music to move the soul.
Members of the Lehigh University Choral Union will be touring Spain at the conclusion of the 2016-2017 season. Participation in the tour is open to new members who sing the Spring 2017 concerts. For more information about the tour, please click here.
Singers need not be enrolled at or an employee of the institution. Tenors and basses are needed, but all voice parts are welcome. No audition is required, but prior experience and the ability to read music are helpful.
Based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the Lehigh University Choral Union is comprised of singers from the Lehigh Valley, New Jersey and the suburbs of Philadelphia.
The ensemble performs an extensive variety of pieces including choral masterpieces and new works. Genres include classical, ethnic, sacred, secular and more.
