Community Chorus Seeking All Voice Parts for Mozart’s Requiem

May 12, 2016 by Jennifer Kreingold Leave a Comment

The Schiller Institute will present Mozart’s Requiem this September in honor of the victims of the tragic attacks of September 11, 2001. This incredible last work of Mozart is an appropriate offering in memorial for the almost 3000 people who died that day. We also present it as a tribute to the families of the victims, many of whom have fought tirelessly for justice against the perpetrators of those evil acts.

We seek all voice parts who wish to participate in the rehearsal process and concert(s). Our chorus will also be working on several American patriotic songs and canons which will be presented at smaller concerts over the summer.

Here is our most recent concert in collaboration with our sister choruses in NYC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BycCymMdS54
The Schiller Institute has several choruses up and down the East Coast all of which will come together for this great event.

Amateurs and Professionals alike are welcome! As Friedrich Schiller identified, “It is through beauty that one proceeds to freedom.” Helga Zepp-LaRouche, wife of economist Lyndon LaRouche, founded the Schiller Institute over 30 years ago to fight for the beauty of mankind.

All rehearsals and concerts are done at the Verdi scientific tuning of A=432 Hz.

Please call or email for more information. If you choose email, please include a good contact phone number, so we can talk.
