Commonwealth Chorale

Commonwealth Chorale is looking forward to a very exciting 2019-2020 season to celebrate 40 years under the direction of David Carrier. Our fall concert features a new piece by Carson Cooman commissioned for the occasion. We are an 85-person, member-run volunteer chorus currently in need of altos, tenors and basses who are dedicated and enthusiastic choral singers.

We are looking for new members who have voices that blend, good vocal technique, musicianship (including sight-reading ability), devotion to the art of ensemble singing and the desire to be part of a community of talented and adventurous amateur musicians. We rehearse on Tuesday nights from 7:30 to 10:00 pm at the Eliot Church, 474 Centre Street, Newton.
Our 2019-20 season features works by Cooman, Bruckner, Bernstein, Chilcott, Thompson, Walker, Paulus and Forrest. Join us for a wonderful season!
