Cantemus Chamber Chorus Auditions: Sept. 12 and 13

Cantemus is auditioning new members for the 2016-17 season. The Fall program centers on Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols,” with harp.The Spring program will be a collaborative effort centering on contemporary Latin music. Experienced singers of all voice parts are invited to audition on Sept. 12 and Sept. 13. Previous choral/vocal experience is required: solid vocal quality, sight-reading skills, aural memory, and rhythmic understanding are emphasized. The auditioning singer should be prepared to sing something like “My Country ’tis of Thee.” He or she may bring a short prepared solo, but this is not required. Cantemus rehearses Tuesdays, from 7:30 until 10:00 in Hamilton.
