We sing wonderful music at St. Anne’s, with a talented volunteer choir of 20-25 supported by four professional section leaders. Recent repertoire includes Bruckner’s Christus Factus Est, Stanford’s Te Deum (B flat) and Magnificat (B flat), and smaller works by Byrd, Chilcott, Duruflé, Rutter, and Tallis. There is one Sunday service at 10:00 AM, at which we sing two anthems, plus service music and hymns. The choir is friendly and likes having section leaders. Various solo opportunities are possible throughout the year.
Applicants must have excellent sight-reading skills and the ability to sing piano; straight tone is not required.
Calls:
Thursdays 7:30 to 9:00 pm
Sundays 9:00-10:30 am
Additional calls include occasional evensongs and additional liturgies at Christmas and Easter. A stipend of $75 per call is offered.
