Do you read music, have vocal training and choral experience?

Are you drawn to new music and a wide range of musical expression?

Ember membership is a mix of singers from NY and NJ who are . . .

• active professionals and receive a stipend for their work;
• active professionals who donate their time and talent;
• and deeply experienced avocational singers.

All adhere to the same audition requirement, rehearsal schedule and high artistic bar. All are drawn to Ember by a love of artistic finesse, of working with active composers, and of music with a social mission.

Specifics of membership :

• All concerts are performed a minimum of two times, once in Greenwich Village, once in Montclair, NJ.
• Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings (Jersey City, near JSQ PATH; free parking) and occasional Saturdays (Greenwich Village), 7-9:45PM.
• Becoming part of the Ember singing roster makes you eligible for singing Ember concerts. Active members sing a minimum of two concert preparations each season.
• While Ember singers are very much a family, the expectation is a professional one – a family deeply committed to Art and Mission on a high level.

Winter auditions will be heard on Saturday, January 6th.
