Audition for the Choral Music Intensive Program at Drew University

May 8, 2016 by Jason Bishop Leave a Comment

Choral music educators and experienced singers are invited to audition now for the Fall 2016 Choral Music Intensive program at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, scheduled for September 23-24 & October 7-9, 2016. The masterwork for the Fall 2016 Choral Music Intensive will be Sergei Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil (Vespers), Op. 37.

The Choral Music Intensive (CMI) at Drew University is a biannual choral immersion project in which professional or highly experienced choral musicians collaborate with advanced student vocalists at Drew in the preparation and performance of a rigorous program of choral repertoire. The CMI at Drew has become a popular professional development activity for local and regional singers and music educators, while also offering invaluable mentorship opportunities for Drew students. The Fall 2016 CMI will culminate with performances of the Rachmaninoff Vespers on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9.

Priority will be given to altos, tenors, and basses at this time; interested and qualified sopranos may be waitlisted. For more information or to arrange an audition, please contact Dr. Jason Bishop, Director of Choral & Vocal Studies at Drew University, at or 973-408-3791 by June 1, 2016. Visit the Choral Music Intensive on the web at drew.edu/music/CMI.
