AUDITION BY JUNE 30, 2017 FOR THE
CHORAL MUSIC INTENSIVE AT DREW UNIVERSITY
Choral music educators and experienced singers are invited to audition now for the Fall 2017 Choral Music Intensive program at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, scheduled for September 29-30 & October 15-17, 2017. Limited spaces are available for sopranos, tenors, and basses at this time. Professional development certificates for New Jersey public school educators will be provided.
PROGRAM
Three works by Johann Sebastian Bach:
Motet: Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden (BWV 230)
Cantata: Nach dir, Herr, verlanget mich (BWV 150)
Mass: Missa in A major (BWV 234)
Drew University’s Choral Music Intensive (CMI) is a choral immersion project combining highly experienced choral musicians with advanced student vocalists at Drew in the preparation of challenging choral repertoire. All participants receive music in advance and prepare independently prior to a short and rigorous rehearsal schedule. Drew’s CMI is a popular professional development activity for regional singers and music educators, while also offering valuable performance and mentorship opportunities for Drew students. The Fall 2017 CMI will culminate in the performance of an all-Bach program on Sunday, October 15, 2017.
