Alto Section Leader Position Opening

Fourth Presbyterian Church in Bethesda, MD is seeking a paid alto section leader. This position would begin in September and would require availability on Thursday evenings from 7:45-9:30 p.m. and Sunday mornings for a 9:30 a.m. and part of an 11:00 a.m. service, plus a warm-up at 8:45 a.m.. Singers are reimbursed $135 per Sunday and $80 per rehearsal, plus additional compensation for any special services or rehearsals. Fourth’s Sanctuary Choir has over 50 volunteer members, plus four paid professional section leaders. It’s a wonderful community that enjoys singing a wide variety of music and offering periodic special musical offerings, plus a large Lessons and Carols service annually with full orchestra. The choir sings from September through May and periodically over the summer. Good sight reading skills, the ability to help lead and encourage volunteer singers, and choral singing experience is required.
