Alto / mezzo soloist / section leader needed

Alto / mezzo soloist / section leader needed at First Presbyterian Church, Greenwich, Connecticut. Must have good low notes – position is for 2nd alto in a professional octet with volunteer choir. Must be excellent sight reader with strong voice. Traditional repertoire. Season runs September 8 through mid-June, with Thursday rehearsal 7:15-9:00 PM and Sunday warmup and service 9:00-11:15 AM. Extra services Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Easter. Soloists take turns singing solo Sundays during summer. Occasional concerts with dates to be determined, usually in December and February. Pay is $100 per rehearsal or service, additional for concerts.
