3rd Coast Polyphony- Auditions for all voice types

3rd Coast Polyphony, Chicago’s new small vocal ensemble, is accepting all voice parts for it’s flagship year!

Candidates should have a passion for a cappella music and a desire to collaborate within a small group setting. All singers to be considered will demonstrate supreme vocal flexibility within different styles of a cappella music, spanning from early music to jazz.

Auditions will be held Sunday, August 27th: 3:00-9:30 and Tuesday, August 29th: 6:30-9:30 at Grace Church Logan Square (3325 W Wrightwood).

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Prepare 2 contrasting selections to be sung without accompaniment:
One traditional classical art song/aria/oratorio
One contemporary jazz/pop

Be prepared to a complete a rhythmic and tonal sight reading passage as well as sight read a passage with two established members.

Stipend for rehearsals/performance will be paid upon completion of first performance. Rehearsals will begin the second week of September, and will run weekly until our performance mid November.
