World Choir Games Update

January 20, 2012 by Scott Dorsey Leave a Comment

2012 is finally here! And the year has already gotten off to a tremendous start. From outstanding national media recognition to exciting event planning progress and new sponsorship announcements that you will read about below, we're on the road to producing the most successful World Choir Games ever.

Our marketing efforts are in full swing on the local, regional, national and international levels. In the coming weeks, 80 World Choir Games banners will be hung throughout downtown to promote the Games, the media team will be visiting regional and national journalists for desk-side visits and Whirl and Twirl will continue to be out and about around the community – you might even see that they've traveled all the way to New York City.

This week we announced an exciting opportunity for businesses throughout the region to get involved with the Games. We'll be hosting a "Vendor Matchmaker" event at the Duke Energy Convention Center at 9 a.m. on February 9 for businesses to learn more about opportunities to provide services for the 2012 World Choir Games. Click here to sign up.

We're less than six months away from the 2012 World Choir Games and we're on the road to an outstanding event. We couldn't make this happen without your support. As always, we thank you for your partnership!

World Choir Games Update

November 20, 2011 by Scott Dorsey Leave a Comment

We’ve had another busy month of planning – and it only gets busier from here! After months and months of preparation, the progress being made is really making the event begin to feel real.
After hiring Carey Rennekamp, Director of Sponsorship Sales and Fulfillment, the 2012 World Choir Games team is fully staffed and ready to take on the next few months of activity. Interkultur joined the Cincinnati Organizing Committee for meetings last week that were once again crucial in creating solid procedures for planning and execution.
Another major announcement of community collaboration was made this month with the return of the Big Pig Gig, Do Re Wee. Many of you might remember back in 2000 when the region was decorated with 400 ceramic pigs, all designed by local artists. The program is being reintroduced next year specifically to welcome the 20,000 expected participants of the 2012 World Choir Games. This time, the program will feature about 60 pigs that will appear to be singing – welcoming the world in song!
As always, we thank you for your continued engagement with the 2012 World Choir Games. Please see the sections below for in-depth updates.
