CINNCINNATI — The official poster of the 2012 World Choir Games, designed by award-winning illustrator and Cincinnati native C.F. Payne, and the champions trophy, created by The Rookwood Pottery Co., were unveiled today at the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Annual Meeting at Duke Energy Convention Center.
Payne, whose illustrations have graced Time, Sports Illustrated, Reader’s Digest, U.S. News and World Report and more, said his design attempts to capture both the international flavor of the Games and spirit of Cincinnati. The image depicts an international group of singers raising their voices before a skyline of Cincinnati’s iconic Downtown structures and the city’s arts institutions, including Union Terminal and Music Hall.
