Full title: THE NATIVITY OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST by the eccentric English poet Christopher Smart (1722-1771);
SSAATTBB, 2:20, in an animated homophonic style, only moderately difficult.
Smart’s Latin poem Jubilate Agno was used in English translation as the text of Britten’s magnificent motet Rejoice in the Lamb, which contains
the famous passage beginning “For I will consider my cat Jeoffry.”
All my works are written in Sibelius, so professional scores in PDF or hard copy are available, as well as mp3 demos of the Sibelius files (choral parts only “ooo”s).
Please have a look at some of my other titles here on my ChoralNet page, and at my site: www.jamesjohnsonmusic.net, or email me for a complete list.
